Unity Health Care Presents Ladies Choice An Event to Benefit Women’s Health Services
WASHINGTON, DC – June 2, 2017–Unity Health Care (Unity) will host its inaugural Ladies Choice event to benefit women’s health services this evening at the JW Marriott DC. The event will be emceed by the talented Delia Gonçalves, Reporter WUSA9 and will honor Angela Franco, Former President and CEO of the Greater Washington Hispanic Chamber of Commerce with the first Ladies Choice award.
Unity provides health care to nearly 50,000 women annually in the District. Funds raised from Ladies Choice will support primary and preventative care, family planning services, health education, and behavioral health counseling for those women.
“Every year, Unity provides $4.8 million in charity care to patients who need access to high quality health care regardless of ability to pay,” stated Vincent A. Keane, President and CEO of Unity. “We are honored to have the support from many friends, supporters, and sponsors to help us continue to do this work.”
Ladies Choice will feature a designer marketplace from more than 15 boutique vendors for guests to shop, wine tastings provided by Barton & Guestier and Patriarche, and a fashion show featuring Mrs. DC America, Julie Cangialosi, Mrs. DC Tourism, and several clients of N Street Village, the largest provider of housing and supportive services for women experiencing homelessness in Washington, DC
The evening, will also a feature a shoe competition for the following three categories: Divalicious Designer, Fabulous Flats, and Best in Shoe. Winners will be given prizes from Kendra Scott Reston Town Center.
“Unity looks forward to hosting Ladies Choice annually to continue to reaffirm our support and commitment to the women of the District,” said Keane. “But people can support women’s health year round by donating to organizations like Unity, N Street Village, and the other non-profits that help and support women in the District.”
