Celebrating National Health Center Week 2020
As we continue to recognize our 35th anniversary, this National Health Center Week carries especially significant meaning. Community health centers all over the country have been on the frontlines of the COVID-19 pandemic response since early March, and our work to provide care to our patients and community continues to be more vital now than ever. Community health centers were founded on the very principle of ensuring access to healthcare for everyone, regardless of their ability to pay or insurance status. Our purpose, and the purpose of all community health centers, is to provide patients with accessible, compassionate, and comprehensive health and wellness services based on their unique needs in the communities where they live.
The theme of this year’s National Health Center Week is “Lighting the Way for Healthier Communities, Today and in the Future!”
While we won’t be able to celebrate National Health Center Week like we have in the past, we do want you to know that our staff, partners, stakeholders, donors and supporters are what allows community health centers to improve the lives of our patients and community.
On behalf of the leadership team and our Board of Directors, thank you for all you do, and Happy National Health Center Week!
