I’m a long-time Maryland resident and attended school in PA, now happily back in the area. I enjoy spending time with family, hiking and walking outdoors, brunching/lunching, shopping, and reading historical fiction.

Once I’m done with the residency, I hope to go back to some of my old- and more-time-consuming hobbies which are travel, dance/fitness, and painting!

Residency is an adventure filled with challenges and surprises there has not been a single minute that is boring to me. For leisure, I like to read, write, hike, and discover local restaurants and coffee shops. I have some degrees of Permanent Head Damage from both a traumatic brain injury when I was 18 and a Ph.D. in Immunology when I was 33. I am married to my husband of 11 years parenting a 4-year-old daughter. Within the scope of family medicine, I enjoy practicing OMM, lifestyle medicine, and medication-assisted treatment for substance use disorders.

I grew up in Taipei, the capital city of Taiwan until I moved to St. Louis, MO for graduate school where I met my husband who is a Ph.D. economist at the FCC. I speak English and Mandarin Chinese. Between me, an immigrant from Taiwan, and my husband, a refugee from Ukraine, we have found Washington, DC a fine city for family and careers. Through this residency, I have gone to places that I would never have had an opportunity to go to or to learn about the stories of the nation’s capital that most people don’t know about. I have traveled far, and I am still traveling.

I'm happy to introduce myself and welcome you to find out more about our residents. I grew up in Western New York (go Bills, go Wegmans!), so you'll see me without a winter coat well into November. I love following pop culture and will never pass up an opportunity to discuss the latest HBO drama or movie star scandal. I studied Journalism at Boston University and worked in advertising in New York City for 2 years before deciding to study medicine. The change surprised a lot of people in my life, but the same curiosity that drew me to writing is what motivates me to understand and treat my patients.

In my spare time, I enjoy exploring the endless fun activities to do in DC, gathering with my dining club in our search for the best restaurants in the city, and soaking up all the love I can get from family and friends' pets (especially internet famous ones @bigorangecatboy).

Born and brought up in the Midwest, I never saw myself living on the East Coast, especially for residency. I received my B.S. in Biology from Benedictine University and went to NYIT at Arkansas State University. My medical journey has brought me all throughout the United States, which I have thoroughly enjoyed.

Traveling, spending time with family and friends, trying new foods, experiencing new cultures, philosophy, cars, hiking, and poem books are all my favorite things. I currently live in the heart of DC with my husband and puppy, Zoey. Living in the city has been a wonderful experience and it has been convenient as my clinic and hospital sites are located in DC. Residency has been a challenging experience, to say the least, but the most gratifying part of my medical training thus far. I look forward to the future and where it will take me.

I was born and raised in New Jersey and graduated with a degree in biomedical engineering from the New Jersey Institute of Technology. I then completed my medical school at the New York Institute of Technology College of Osteopathic Medicine in Long Island, NY.

I am an obsessed sports fan. Football and soccer are my favorite sports to watch. I'm a die-hard fan of the New York Giants and Chelsea Football Club in London (Go Blues!). I love to play basketball as well. I also enjoy playing PlayStation, games like Call of Duty, and FIFA. One thing on my bucket list is to visit all the US national parks!
